AUSTIN (AP) The parent company of The Associated Press Corp. will begin offering outdoor advertising for a new next-door outdoor advertising site in Austin next week.
The company will advertise in The Austin Chronicle, The Dallas Morning News and other publications.
News Corp., the largest U.S. news company by circulation, is buying Tribune Media Group for $4.9 billion.
Tribune’s Austin-based Austin-area headquarters will remain unchanged.
The deal was first reported by The Wall Street Journal.
News Corp. is building a $2 billion headquarters complex on a former newspaper factory site in the suburbs near the city of Austin.
The Austin site is the first commercial development since Tribune moved into its new headquarters in 2015.
